"My name is Bibi Shariza Khan, though I prefer it when people use Shariza. I鈥檓 from Guyana, born and raised, with my parents and older brother. Recent additions to my family include my sister-in-law and insanely adorable nephew. I studied at the primary level at a school that was 15 minutes drive away from where I live in Meten Meer Zorg, and I completed my secondary education at St. Rose鈥檚 High School, one of the senior secondary schools in Georgetown, Guyana. Subsequently, I did the Cambridge GCE A-Levels which I completed in 2020. My parents own a construction and transportation company in Guyana, and upon graduation in 2020, I immediately began working for them on the administrative aspect of the business.

It aided in my learning and understanding of the business community and gave me profound knowledge of business management and its practices that I was able to later apply in practical real-world situations in my profession. It also required an up-to-date knowledge of the business world and its activities around us. In the future, I plan to apply to an international university to further my studies.
I gained more intimate knowledge of real-world business activities and practices and I was able to use the knowledge I gained throughout this programme to become more involved in my organisation, implementing new protocols which helped the company become more efficient. Specifically so, I was able to implement new procedures in regard to new members of staff which greatly increased productivity In the workplace.
When studying, I would suggest definitely doing your own reading. Try to understand the concepts and applications on your own. But as a backup plan, get a study partner to go through the concepts and applications with. I found it easier to understand and remember some of the slightly difficult concepts when I had someone to bounce information back and forth with.
While I always say I can鈥檛 predict the future, as circumstances may change, my plans do sum up to earning a Masters degree and acquiring a leadership position in a major multinational corporation."
